Excerpt from 1870 Hunterdon Republican (Nov. 17, 1970) - Sale of Real Estate. Date of sale: 7 Dec. 1870. HOFFMAN, Peter F., President and FISHER, J. R., Mr., Secretary and Treasurer of the Clinton Station General Merchandise and Manufacturing Co., will sell their real estate at
Clinton Station. This property has been used as a lumber yard for the past 14 years. It has now a first class and
increasing trade in lumber with sale upwards of 2,500 tons of coal per annum. The improvements are a double Dwelling,
Hardware Store, large store room – formerly used as a Grain Store, a Sash and Blind Factory.

B.W. Farrington lumber yard was purchased in 1971 and renamed Hunterdon Lumber.  The Annandale location was closed in 2003.
